Who would have thought an idea spawned on a flight to Los Angeles back in 1999 would have eventually yielded something like LebWorld.com? As creator and founder of LebWorld, he continuously simply states, "I'm just trying to create an environment that is culturally worthy of what we're historically all about, fun (and sometimes a little smart) and rewarding - all at the same time."

Native to our neighbour to the north, Naomi is a pure-bred Lebanese girl who aspires to one day "see live Monster Trucks" and maybe "have some kids too," but we're not quite sure which will come first. She doesn't think she sounds Canadian, but with every "ay?" she says, we know better. A tireless worker, she's the hub of all things LebWorld and Canada.

When she's not doling out vitamin C to hospital patients, she teaches belly dancing & insuring western Canadians from all sorts of catastrophies. Strong yet traditional at heart, she's quite the perfect candidate to represent LebWorld. While juggling 4 or so jobs, we're fully confident that she's ready to take on the complex and sometimes tricky community that is LebWorld Canada.

This active, Lebanese born representative left Lebanon in the late 80's to come to New York to study biochemisty (oh, and to work with his uncle in his restaurant business), ultimately strolling over to the beautiful Dominican Republic to study medicine. Persistent and active in Lebanese based community activities local and abroad, Gus fits perfectly into the LebWorld mold.

The same great city that brought us the band Rush and the Blue Jays and their wacky art deco uniforms, Clo is another fantastic expatriate that we're lucky enough to have associated ourselves with. A self-taught techie (for now) who works for HP online - she'll undoubtedly be an invaluable LebWorld representative up in the great white north.

From the great rainy city of Seattle, Washington, comes this energetic and resourceful little fireplug. A Graphic Designer (woman after my own heart) a communications major & a staunch disadvocate to that stupid Starbuck's coffee bean tax out in the Northwest, it's a family affair as she joins her sister Sally in being stalward LebWorld soldiers in both writing and in practice.

From the very beginning in LebWorld - with the brainstorming in musty bedrooms and the grunt work on the computers, Joanne was there. Despite her Taliban-like upbringing, she's one of the sharpest 17 year-olds you'll ever care to meet. If there's anyone that can instill some culture and corral the unfortunate hip-hop Arabic youth, there is no better candidate to do so.

Proof that more than Rocky and Benjamin Franklin have emerged from the age-old state of Pennsylvania, Antoinette attends Temple University with a focus on English. She has aspirations of possibly acting one day and the word around town is she's one mighty singer. She will undoubtedly hum a tune for us at future LebWorld events.

With her witty charm and spirited energy this 27 yr old is a real asset to any company. When she is not busy playing with the kids at work, Randa is somewhere on her computer trying to get someone to join the Lebworld Personals. She has a knack of selling anyone anything even if it's the Pope (who knows she might even get him to buy one of our t-shirts!).

Mike is about as perfect a blend of all the goodies of an expatriated Lebanese guy tempered and enhanced with all the fine qualities of a traditional Lebanese zalame. An active part of the "Ehden" community in and around the Waterbury, Connecticut area, Mike works in technology & has been kind enough to reignite his abilities to author for occasional LebWorld features.

A real fireplug of a gal, this 23 year-old Lebanese salon owner has a knack for making people look not-as-ugly as when they walked in to her place of business. Sociable (not unlike the cookie) and sprite (not unlike the beverage), it's not a wonder that she has a penchant for using exclamation points ( ! !! ! ). An absolute ideal candidate for a LebWorld representative in any country.

Affectionately dubbed "soo-soo," Souad is an integral cog in the New England based Hannoush machine that apparently culminates in such things as having an entire street named after them. Social, quick & family oriented in both business and mindset, this 24 year-old has much to offer in terms of social connectivity and pure unadulterated fun.
